Tinctures can be a different experience to smoking cannabis, to ensure to best experience make sure you are in a comfortable environment where you feel safe and are surrounded by people you trust.
Although this one can often be tricky in an unregulated market it's best to know how your cannabis is grown. Some growers put pesticides and other nasty chemicals in their products which can be harmful when consumed.
Know your source
When trying a new product always start by taking a smaller dose and slowly increasing your dose until you find the amount that's right for you. Tinctures can take a little longer to kick in than vaping or smoking so wait atleast 40 minutes (sublingual) or 1.5 hrs (swallowed) before re dosing. Remember, you can always take more but you can never take less!
Start low go slow
The two main consumption routes for tinctures are sublingual which means holding it under the tongue and swallowed which means you swallow it. Sublingual consumption can take around 14-40 minutes to kick in wheras swallowing can take between 1-2 hours to kick in.
Sublingual vs Swallowed
As previously mentioned tinctures can take some time to kick in. To avoid getting too stoned wait at least 40 minutes for Sublingual and 1.5 hours for swallowed before re dosing.
Patience
CBD can help counteract some of the negative effects of cannabis so if everything is feeling a bit too much have some CBD to help level things out.
CBD
Remember to shake up your tincture before dosing to ensure even cannabinoid distribution.
